VOG Land provides Land Services nationwide and is based in Houston, Texas. Founder and President Evan Villarruel is a second generation landman and has been in the Land Services industry for more than 25 years. Evan was previously a partner at Griffith Land Services for over 8 years before starting VOG Land. Dedication, commitment and old-fashioned integrity are the pillars of VOG Land and experience, ability and the drive to make every project a success sets VOG Land apart.
Utilizing the experience of our Land Professionals, we can effectively and efficiently make connections between land/mineral owners and the operating companies, ensuring a smooth process from start to finish.
Taking advantage of the latest technology allows VOG Land to communicate with their clients in real-time, allowing clients to see the progress as it is happening; combined with years of experience in the field makes for a productive working relationship.

Evan Villarruel
Evan Villarruel, a second-generation Landman based in Houston, Texas, brings over two decades of extensive experience in the land industry. Graduating from Texas A&M University, Evan has cultivated his expertise through managing multifaceted projects across various states in the Lower 48.
In 2017, Evan founded VOG Land, and under his guidance VOG Land has emerged as an industry-leading land services company, setting industry standards and delivering unparalleled results. Before starting VOG Land, Evan served as a partner at Griffith Land Services for eight years, where he developed his skills and solidified his reputation.
Evan is deeply rooted in his community and enjoys spending quality time with his two children. An avid outdoorsman, he finds solace in hunting and fishing during his free time.
Evan's dedication extends beyond his professional endeavors, as he actively contributes to the community. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Mutton Bustin Committee at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, demonstrating his passion for fostering community spirit and youth development.
In addition, Evan is a proud member of industry organizations including the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), Houston Association of Professional Landmen (HAPL), and Permian Basin Landman Association (PBLA), further highlighting his commitment to continuous learning and industry advancement.

Jeff Hartman
Jeff Hartman is an accomplished second-generation Landman with over 10 years of experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining VOG Land in 2021, Jeff worked for ConocoPhillips Company and Chesapeake Energy where he provided Land support for multiple assets across the Lower 48. Jeff is a proud graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where he earned a degree in Energy Management. Jeff lives in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with his wife and two children. He is an avid outdoorsman that enjoys hunting, fishing and playing golf in his spare time.
